Tigers win Southern California Bowl

No. 2 seed Riverside City College Tigers defeated No. 3 seed Saddleback College Gauchos, 49-38, to win the Southern California Bowl and advance in the CCCAA SoCal Regionals on Nov. 19.

The Tigers scored 14 unanswered points before the Gauchos tied the game, but ended the half up 21-14.

Quarterback Collyn Anderson had an outstanding game before being carted off the field late in the third quarter with the Tigers up 28-21.

Ian Fieber replaced him in a wild fourth quarter as the Tigers recorded two fumbles on sacks with one being returned for a touchdown. 38 points were scored in the span of eight minutes between the teams.

Riverside will travel to the No. 1 seeded Fullerton College in the CCCAA SoCal Regional Final for a spot in the State Finals on Nov. 26.
