The Riverside City College football team (9-1, 6-0) defeated Citrus College (3-7, 2-4) with a score of 20-14 after another comeback as the regular season came to an end Nov. 15. The Tigers now look toward the playoffs.
RCC will be the No.1 seed in Southern California Football Association semifinals and will host the National Bowl as No.4 seed Ventura College (6-4, 5-1) visits Wheelock Stadium Nov. 22 with the winner punching their ticket to the SCFA championship game.
The Tigers football team have won 29 straight home games and haven’t loss at home since 2010.
“One win and one loss and you’re out and you know its sudden death,” head coach Tom Craft said. “They’re all going be hard, they’re all going be tough games.”
If RCC wins against Ventura and the winner of the Southern California Bowl that is being played by the Mounties and Hornets then the Tigers will host the California Community College Athletic Association Football State Championship as this season it’s SCFA turn to host the State Championship Game.
