The Riverside City College Tigers (2-1) suffered its first defeat of the season losing to the Grossmont Griffins (2-2) 38-28.
A shocking loss at the hands of the Griffins who went from non-ranked in the start of the season to No.5 in the CCCAA football poll.
While the Tigers dropped from No.1 to No.7
The Tigers defense couldn’t hold the Griffin offense, as the Griffins scored five touchdowns before the end of the first half, while the Tigers offense couldn’t score enough points. Eight turnovers by the Tigers proved costly as the Griffins scored on six of those turnovers.

Next to face RCC are the El Camino Warriors (2-2) ranked No.6 defeated now non-ranked Saddleback Gauchos (1-3) 40-23
The Warriors are considered the underdog this season after having 3 consecutive losing seasons.
The Tigers hold a two straight winning streak against the Warriors beating them 63-35 in 2012 and 48-25 last season, while the Warriors have two straight road wins.
This will be the first National Central Conference game for RCC as the Warriors had their first NCC game as they lost to the Citrus Owls (2-2) (0-1) 28-21.
So far both wins for the El Camino Warriors have come from on the road. Having loss their home opener and lose to Citrus College on another home game.
Meanwhile the Tigers are preparing for the Warriors, as they won’t let another game slip away like the match from Grossmont.
