Riverside celebrates Chinese Moon Festival

The Chinese Moon Festival is set to be held Oct. 5 at the Heritage House in Riverside from 6-8 p.m.

Attendees will be able to play games, listen to music and have a chance to look at the moon through telescopes.

Moon cakes, which are pastries made specifically for the event, as well as hot tea will be available for purchase during the festival.

The honors the 15th lunar day of the eighth Chinese lunar month, when the moon is at its fullest and brightest of the year.
