“Laramie” brings tolerance to RCCThe Riverside City College theater department presents “The Laramie Project,” a chronicle of life in the town of Laramie in the year after the murder of Matthew Shepard.

The show is presented at the Landis Performing Arts Center Nov. 20, 21 and 22 at 8:00 p.m. and Nov. 22 and 23 at 2:00 p.m. For ticket information, call (951) 222-8100, or purchase tickets online at http://www.landispac.com.

On campus concerts provide beautiful musicThe On Campus Concert Series presents a French Horn and Bassoon Recital. Admission is free and open to the public. The recital is on Nov. 25 at 12:45 p.m. and located in the Digital Library Auditorium.

Get help with your final paperThe writing center is open for finals providing students with computers, internet access and study areas.

Also offered free of charge, are grammar workshops, instructor advice and free tutoring.

The writing center is open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Learn to navigate the night skyThe Riverside City College Planetarium recreates the night sky in all its glory on Nov. 21.

This production is an introduction to the patterns and history of the constellations.

Show starts at 7 p.m., doors open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for students and $2.50 for children.

Free walk-in testing availableThe assessment center is offering free walk-in testing. Testing is available anytime between the hours listed on the calendar posted outside the assessment center, located next to the MLK building.

The assessment center offers PTESL English as a Second Language test, SPAPLC Spanish Placement exam, writing placement and math placement exams.

Some tests do require appointments, call (951) 372-7101.

Remember that all walk-in testing is on a first-come, first-serve basis with 21 stations available at a given time. A waiting list may be implemented for heavy traffic times. A current picture ID is required to test.

Give back and get your groove onASRCC hosts a charity dance on Nov. 21 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Free admission with student ID, $2 without ID.

Bring a wrapped toy for children ages 2 to 12 and receive free food all night.

Hosted in the Bradshaw Cafeteria.
