It was another dominating victory for the Riverside City College Tigers who took down Cerritos College, 31-16, Oct.1.
The Falcons began the game with some big runs that lead to a scoring opportunity. RCC linebacker Nick Underwood had a huge interception that ended the Falcons’ threat.
However, Riverside was unable to capitalize. It took another big interception by defensive back Brandon Brooks to kill another Cerritos’ drive.
Collyn Anderson had a 20-yard touchdown pass to Adrian Hughes finally getting RCC on the board. Anderson finished with 18 of 30 completed pass attempts for 241-yards and two TD, while also rushing for 15-yards.
The Tigers scored twice after at the start of the second quarter with a rushing TD from Seth Acda and a field goal by John Hilfer putting them up 17-0.
Running back El Toro Allen got in the action with a 19-yard rushing TD in the third quarter extending the Tigers lead to 24-2.

Cerritos had some hope of a comeback after back to back TD passes late in the third quarter and early fourth quarter giving them some hope of a comeback.
Thanks to multiple 3 and outs from the Riverside defense and a 28-yard TD reception by Dominique Maiden the Tigers quickly clawed that idea away for the 31-16 win.
The Tigers will head into a bye week, but will be prepare for their road matchup against Chaffey College on Oct. 15 at 6 p.m.
