The No. 1 ranked Riverside City College Tigers (7-1, 4-0) capped off a victory against the No. 2 ranked Long Beach City College Vikings, 27-21, due to its performance on special teams and solid defensive play.

After getting three interceptions against Mt. San Antonio on Oct 25., Treshon Broughton came up big once again for the Tigers as he returned a blocked field goal for a touchdown against the Vikings.

“We played great defense tonight,” RCC football coach Tom Craft said. “To beat them up here, this is a great win for us.”

The Tigers will now set their sights on the Chaffey College Panthers (5-3, 3-1), who ended the undefeated season for the Vikings on Oct. 18 when the team entered the game ranked No. 1.

This will be the first time the Tigers and the Panthers will face each other as Chaffey made its debut in the NCC, this season according to the CCCFA.

Kickoff will be at Chaffey College at 1 p.m.
