Riverside City College police sergeant Jack Kohlmeier informed college staff and faculty of a robbery which occurred in the parking structure on April 4 at 4:25 p.m.
Sergeant Kohlmeier said the victim was on the third level of the parking structure when an African-American male approached him to ask him the time.
Kohlmeier said the suspect then grabbed the phone out of the victim’s hand and ran down to the second level of the structure with the victim behind his trail. The pursuit ended after the suspect turned toward the victim in a fighting posture and in fear of his safety; the victim ended the chase and retreated.
Kohlmeier said the suspect is an African-American adult, between the age of 20 and 24, 6′ 1,” approximately 180 pounds, with long black hair and pierced ears. The suspect was last seen wearing red baseball cap, a red shirt and “South Park” pajamas.
Kohlmeier said the suspect is wanted for strong arm robbery which means taking of the property accomplished by means of force or fear.
Sergeant Kohlmeier said to report any information anyone has on this crime to the RCC police at 951-222-8171 immediately.
