The 2008 race for President of the United States is over.
At approximately 8:25 p.m. PST, John McCain conceded the race for the White House. At approximately 9 p.m., Barack Obama made his acceptance speech.
The Riverside County Registrar of Voters, at http://www.election.co.riverside.ca.us, has projected results for Riverside County.
With 26.97 percent of precincts reporting, the Registrar is reporting that Mark Takano and Mary Figueroa have secured their seats on the Riverside Community College District Board of Trustees. Takano and Figueroa have reportedly received 27.32 and 25.42 percent of the vote, respectively, according to the Registrar.
Also according to the Registrar Web site, Bill Hendrick has a three percent lead over the incumbent Ken Calvert, leading 51.55 percent to 48.45 percent.
At the time of this post, the Secretary of State Web site has been down for a few hours.
