Women’s Water Polo
Riverside City College’s women’s water polo team defeated Fullerton College, 12-9, in overtime to win the Orange Empire Conference Tournament Championship.
The tournament was held at the Riverside Aquatics Center on the campus of RCC.
The Tigers will compete in the SoCal Championships at Mt. San Antonio College. The tournament starts on Nov. 5.
Women’s Cross Country
The Tigers finished fifth in the team standings of the Southern California Championships on Friday at Mission Bay Park. The team’s performance earned them a spot in the CCCAA Championship Meet on Nov. 21 at Woodward Park in Fresno.
Brianna Jacklin was RCC’s top finisher and was second overall behind Aminat Olowora of Southwestern. Jacklin finished with a time of 18 minutes, 57.3 seconds.
Men’s Cross Country
Joshua Silva of Riverside City College finished sixth overall in the individual standings of the SoCal Championships on Nov. 6. RCC finished second overall in the team standings with 100 points. Mt. SAC was first in the event with 82 points.
The Tigers will compete in the CCCAA Championship Meet on Nov. 21 at Woodward Park in Fresno.
