Sheriff Bianco strikes again, inmates die, ‘peace officers’ abuse necessary funds

Neglect, distrust and missuse of power is actively killing our working class.

Twelve people died in custody at the Riverside County jail this year.

A press conference was held by Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco to address the situation after being confronted for downplaying the alarming occurences of deaths.

Bianco alleged five of the convicts were killed from fentanyl overdoses, two by suicide, three by medical complications with two deaths still pending.

This is a constant problem for the Riverside Sheriff’s Department. However, this year exceptionally stands out as an anomaly.

“We did nothing wrong,” Bianco said.

The department constantly fails to inform loved ones on how the inmates died even though it is protocol. Some deaths were never even acknowledged until later discovered by the families or the public.

The working class invariably falls victim to unacceptable mismanagement masked as “accidents” by those who are supposed to “protect and serve” them.

There are thousands of cases of excessive use of force from numerous precincts across the country. According to the Bureau of Justice Statistics, the number of federal prisoners who have died in custody is increasing incrementally each year.

The unapologetic brutality and injustice of the sheriff’s department as well as the police force destroys an individual’s trust for an establishment supposedly meant to keep communities safe.

To find something good to say about the police is like finding a strand of hay in a pile of needles. Frankly, they don’t deserve the praise they receive at all. Countless times do we see the police defend themselves and only themselves.

Bianco has a track record that is consistent with that belief. He has openly threatened to arrest public officials including Ward 2 Riverside City Councilmember Clarissa Cervantes

In this specific instance, Cervantes was the victim of an alleged smear campaign in support of abortion access. Bianco made it clear that she was “lucky” to not have been arrested.

If the local sheriff actually cared for his community, why can’t he explain the $77 million of taxpayer money that was used to pay for police misconduct settlements and lawsuits?

This means that our dollars are being used to pay for the careless “mistakes” of the haphazard actions of these “entrusted” forces.

Perhaps Bianco is being used as a figurehead to take the blame for ruthless misconduct. In other words, he is someone that we can point the finger at and say “hey this man is the source of your fears and woes” so that the true monsters can live in peace. That being your everyday “peace officer.”

Officers constantly harass and displace the homeless by making their way of survival illegal through loitering laws that prevent them from finding shelter.

They are also known to disproportionately target people of color by placing them in jail for false or petty crimes, making it impossible to participate in the electoral process after being released. This sets us back from making necessary progress, because it encourages the silencing of the working class and their ideals.

The disproportionate distribution of taxpayer money has been the key motivator for this behavior.

RPD received a gross amount of money to buy equipment you’d only find in a war-torn battlefield for the sake of militarization of the police

Neglecting investments toward the Community and Economic Development Department (CEDD) which funds programs that would improve the standard of living and prevent people from turning to a life of crime in order to survive.

The CEDD received the lowest amount of funding out of any other department, while the sheriff’s department got a whopping $73 million.

Clearly, the city has prioritized Riverside law enforcement who have proven time and time again their agenda, showing the police defend themselves and only themselves.

This deep-rooted systemic problem cannot be changed through individual participation. It requires a collective force to use any means necessary in order to get the message across.

The police force and sheriffs must be investigated, defunded and reorganized to further prevent any more loss of life and civil liberties of the working class. Only then might we live in true peace.

  1. I wonder if this guy Zach who wrote this junk has ever been in jail .I have more than once .it was my own doing I broke the law . Chad and the dept as a whole have always been fair with me!!!!! And others during the times I have been down.rules are rules we all have to obey.im a convict and I know Chad is a fair and just person. He does not know me as one because I’ve got myself together now days. I have met with him personally one-on-one in conversations and he is nothing but a good honest leader that Riverside could ever hope for so let’s all stop bashing Chad and Riverside sheriff’s department. I’m sure a lot of you won’t like hearing this but it’s the truth.

  2. A) I’d like for the RSO to be audited.
Every bullet, gun, dog, vest, vehicle, baton, helicopter, EVERYTHING needs to be counted.

Covid funds for a new floor is fishy.

    B) End qualified immunity. All lawsuits or settlements should be paid by the Police Associations that are protecting rotten cops.

When citizens from all over the county feel calling the cops will only make matters worse, the distrust starts from the top.

Bianco only care about himself and his Oath Keeper buddies.

  3. It’s about time somebody spoke the truth about what’s going on. And I sincerely hope that anyone who disagrees with this doesn’t have to go through the things that the police department and sheriff’s department have put people through before they realize that this is exactly what’s happening. The police aren’t out to protect you they’re out to protect themselves. They’re out to arrest you.

  4. Riverside Police Department? This trashy hit price makes no sense at all. Most homeless people have mental disorders and are addicted to illegal drugs and alcoholic beverages. I have a cousin that lives on the streets of Los Angeles because she loves her drug-using lifestyle and does not have to work but gets free government handouts because she is poor and drug addicted by choice. We must return to Judeo-Christian values, family, and the rule of law and secure our borders from illegal immigrants and drugs. We need to hold our politicians accountable and remove them from officer if they fail to uphold the US Constitution that they swore an oath to defend and protect. We need to return to a proper free market capitalist economic system for our nation that Almighty God created for humanity to prosper.

  5. This is sad but true and it’s not just BIANCO but the whole riverside county judicial system as a whole mike HESTRIN the DA is an EVIL man and his disregard to a human life for numbers at the poll is disgusting yet again he wouldn’t be Abel to do it without the help of dirty JUDGES and dis honest court appointed attorney s cops rake them in BIANCO houses them then the system finishes them off way to much power in the hands of evil heartless men if only one of their loved ones had to EXPIERANCE the shit they put out would they understand .. as for all the hate and racial comments to follow have a good day

  6. I wholeheartedly agree with everything and I mean everything that I just read. I am sick and tired of people of color being arrested and prosecuted for foolishness false accusations and meaningless incidents. All designed to incarcerate them by railroading them to the penitentiary ruining their lives. And then being mostly African American men with families that need them like all other families need their fathers to help nurture them give them love guidance Financial support and stability with having a father present in their lives. They are someone’s loved ones. Yes of course there are some real criminals doing real crimes and a menace to society but there are far more that are not most of the real criminals are the police this year the deputies the district attorneys the public defenders that don’t defend it’s horrible it needs to be torn apart broken down and rebuilt if not there will be a lot more deaths and police brutality. Miss Audrey Knox

  7. That our sheriff the leader of the stinky brown shirt society he got to be kicked out of office he got to be defunded I mean come on he kicked in an old people’s door because they had electrical solar panels on their roof and then went to their other house and did the same thing how much did that cost taxpayers as a 73 million he got hey Chad Bianco do you still belong to that secret society of brown sticky short people you got to be defended you got to be ashamed of yourself I approve this message you’re a joke sir put your shirt in the washing machine and get the pig s*** smell off of it and serve the public like you should you’re a tyrant nothing but a tyrant the bully you should be ashamed of yourself but you’re not you love wearing that brown stinky shirt
