Jim Miyashiro confirmed that he will retire as the police chief for the Riverside Community College District.
“I don’t know yet,” said Miyashiro regarding his plans after RCC. “‘There is a lot of things I still want to do. Part of it is just relax and have a slower pace.”
Miyashiro has been with RCCD for eight years.
According to the district’s faculty minutes from the Sept. 22 minutes, he has worked out his schedule to continue on a part time basis until December.Â
The police will report to Michael Simmons, the director of risk management, for all administrative matters.
