For Juliana Garcia, a Riverside City College student, the Cesar Chavez Day celebration hit home.
“My great grandpa stood by Cesar’s side when they were walking. It’s important to be grateful of where our produce comes from,” Garcia said.
College presidents from Riverside, Norco and Moreno Valley have voiced their support for students under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

Riverside City College students now have a place they can call home. La Casa or the Latino Student Engagement Center was the newest center to be unveiled on Monday, Nov. 2 in the Digital Library 112.
