789 billion reasons to care

Bundled up to protect themselves from winter storms, many people waited for hours as lines stretched around the block, everyone hoping that they would be one of the chosen few. While this may sound like something out of a Depression era story, this was the scene across the nation on Feb. 3 as Denny’s restaurants gave away free breakfasts.

Best Picture “Slumdog Millionaire” For a true Cinderella story look no further than “Slumdog Millionaire.” This independent film from India is the story of Jamal Malik (Dev Patel) the most successful contestant on India’s version of “Who Wants to be a Millionaire.”

A new face in a familiar job

S.H.: Tell us a little about yourself? J.M.: I started in Mass Communications and I wanted to be a color commentator for Monday Night Football, but when I took my video classes I decided I liked directing better than being on camera. Then I took a path through communications and organizations, teaching in that field.
