In a thrilling double overtime finish, the Riverside Community College women’s water polo team achieved the ultimate goal of winning their fifth state title against Santa Barbara City College on Nov. 19 at Las Positas College.
Joshua Silva helped the Riverside City College men’s cross country team win the California Community College Athletics Association State Championship for the first time in 22 years. Meanwhile, women’s water polo Emily Martin was named to the All-OEC First Team and OEC co-Most Valuable Player.
The Riverside City College women’s water polo dominated 13-4 against American River College Beavers and 18-5 against Long Beach City College Vikings, respectfully at the Riverside mini-tournament Oct. 14.
