Former RCC Tigers sign to the NFL

Three former Riverside City College football players are going to the NFL.

Despite all athletes going undrafted in the National Football League’s most recent draft, alumni Isaac Whitney, Skyler Howard and Ryan Navarro were picked up by pro teams following the draft and will look to compete in the 2017 NFL season.

Whitney was highly recruited player out of RCC, which included offers from programs such as USC and Boise State.

The Riverside City College football team will play its first game of the season at home against Ventura College, on Sept. 7.

Defensive back Treshon Broughton was the first of four Riverside City College football players to make a verbal commitment to Washington State University in December.
