Riverside City College Diversity and Faculty Development will be holding events in recognition of Cesar Chavez Day.
There will be an opening ceremony and musical performance on March 29 featuring Julisa “Peanut” Veron from 12:50 to 1:50 p.m. on the steps of Martin Luther King Jr. building.
RCC psychology instructor Clarence Romero will present “The Legacy of Cesar Chavez” March 30 from 12 to 2 p.m. in the AD Board Room 122.
La Casa Latino Student Engagement Center at Digital Library Room 112 will hold an open house from 5 to 6 p.m. and refreshments will be provided.
Latino Network will give a presentation titled “The Chavez Movement” April 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. in AD Board Room 122. Speakers will be Bobby De La Cruz who worked with Chavez in his United Farm Workers movement and Ricardo Cisneros who will talk about how the organization is different these days.
