The Great California Shakeout is a statewide event scheduled for Oct. 20 from 10:20 – 10:40 a.m. Riverside City College plans to participate in a drop, cover and hold drill.
During the event RCC will deploy its mass notification system and its emergency notification system which will output a high audio announcement.
Those participating will then follow directions to a staging area after the drill in a mass evacuation of the campus.
RCC estimates there to be about 13,000 students on campus at the time of the shakeout.
