The Riverside Community College Board of Trustees has approved the contract with Issac. He will begin his role as RCC’s 11th President on April 22.
ORIGINAL STORY:
A contract for Wolde-Ab Isaac as president of Riverside City College is pending approval by the Board of Trustees, according to the April 21 meeting agenda. Isaac currently serves as interim president and if approved, would serve in the official position beginning April 22.
The president search committee held public forums for Isaac on March 26 and Elmer Bugg on April 2 as the final candidates for the position. The placement of Isaac on list for approval before the board signifies the recommendation of the search committee and the approval by the Chancellor Michael Burke.
The contract for Isaac as president would extend through June of 2016, and grant him a salary of $205,000.
