Quarterback Skyler Howard and the Riverside City College Tigers defeat the Mt. San Antonio Mounties, 33-30, at home. With the win, the Tigers are the National Central Conference Championship.
Howard had 249 passing yards and two touchdowns against the Mounties defense. Howard also had one interception.
After trailing the Mounties 17-3 in the first quarter, the Tigers answered back scored 23 points in the second quarter.
The Tigers led 26-24 at halftime. The Tigers’ defense held the Mounties to just two field goals in second half.
The Tigers sealed the game when Howard completed a 30-yard touchdown pass to Sam Boyd, which capped off an 80-yard drive.
