RCC and Moreno Valley Colleges offer workshops to enhance coping skills

Free workshops designed to educate students and help them to reduce symptoms of post-traumatic stress, are available at Riverside City College and Moreno Valley College for the fall semester. Students can attend one or two workshops each week at either campus.

These workshops will teach coping skills to reduce symptoms which can include: trouble sleeping, difficulties in work, academic and personal relationships and negative thoughts and mood.

Lunch and prizes are provided at each session for all students that attend. A 20 dollar gift card will be awarded after completing the 8 topics presented.

The workshops will be held Wednesday and Thursday at RCC. Students can attend from 12:50 to 1:50 p.m. and 3 to 4 p.m. Courses will be held at the Wellness Center located in the cafeteria.

At Moreno Valley College the workshops will take place Monday and Tuesday. Meeting times are set from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 12:50 to 1:50 p.m. The workshops will be hosted in the humanities Room 234.
