UPDATE: Flash flood warning issued in Riverside

UPDATE: The 14th street underpass in Riverside will be closed until approximately 2 a.m., according to Mayor Rusty Bailey‘s Facebook page.

There also have been reports of  power outages in the city.

Rainwater filled the streets of Riverside following the flash flood warning on Sept. 7. Students on the Riverside City College campus stated there was not any noticeable damage. Vehicles have been covered underwater on some Riverside streets. The thunderstorm hit Riverside around 1:30 p.m. and resulted in a flash flood warning that was originally in effect until 4:15 p.m.

According to the National Weather Service, the flash flood warning will remain in effect until 7:00 p.m.
