Music was playing, canopies were being raised and “free hot dogs” could be heard across the A. G. Paul Quadrangle. Welcome to Club Rush. Around 12 p.m., classes were letting out and Club Rush started to gain momentum. Questions were answered, e-mails were exchanged and sign up sheets were posted.

Club Rush is held every year to recruit, or at least to educate students about the wide variety of clubs that are offered at Riverside City College. These clubs are considered extra curricular, and stand independent of unit driven courses. Students already participating in these clubs have chosen to do so with the intent on having that “something extra” on their resume.

You go to class, hit the library and get your class work done in order to leave quickly. It sounds like a familiar routine to many who would like to spend the least amount of time necessary on the Riverside Community College campus. Then there are those students who stick around and meet new people, involve themselves in school activities and add fun to the routine.
