Mark Takano, a former Riverside Community College District Board of Trustee, was re-elected to the U.S. Congress on Nov. 8.
Takano, who won his third term as a member of the U.S. Congress, spoke at a Democratic Watch Party in Riverside shortly after votes were counted.

Jose Medina, another local representative, was also re-elected to his position. Medina will continue his role as California State Assembly member for District 61.
