The Riverside City College women’s tennis team fell short of a victory after a 5-4 loss to first place Orange Coast College (10-1) March 15 at home in the Fran Bushman Tennis Complex.

Orange Coast remains undefeated in Orange Empire Conference competition (9-0) while RCC fell to 1-5, but are still at .500 with an overall record of 7-7.

Despite a strong finish in singles competition, where the Tigers won three out of the six matches, the poor start from the doubles competition left a residual effect at the end as they were only able to muster up one victory out of the three doubles matches.

The Tigers look to rebound from their third loss in a row when they play away against Cypress College on March 17 at 2 p.m.
