A connection to a former Riverside City College student has been made in the Dec. 2 shootings at Inland Regional Center located in San Bernardino that resulted in the killing of 14 people and injuring 22 people.

Robert Schmidt, senior public affairs officer for Riverside Community College District confirmed that Enrique Marquez Jr. attended RCC during the fall 2009 semester and dropped all of his classes in the winter 2011 semester.

It was reported by the Los Angeles Times that two military-style rifles that were used in the attacks had been purchased by Marquez.

There was no paperwork showing the transfer of the fire arms to Syed Farook and Tashfeen Malik.

Riverside City College President Wolde-Ab Isaac said in an email that the FBI has not shared with the college any information about the investigation of Marquez’s connection to the shootings.
