According to a document posted on RCCDistrict.net, the Riverside Community College District Board of Trustees will meet on Tuesday to approve the contract extension of Riverside City College football coach Tom Craft.

Craft, who was in the final month of a two-year contract, will have a new contract worth $114,221 and will last until January 26, 2016.

This news comes three days after the announcement that Craft’s recruiting coordinator Darrin Chiaverini accepted a job at Texas Tech University.

During Craft’s time at RCC, the football team has a record of 40-5 and three conference championships.

Craft and Chiaverini also have led a staff that had sent the most transfers (42 total players) to NCAA Division 1 football programs on a scholarship than any other junior college program since 2011.
