Riverside City College was awarded a $250,000 grant July 1 for mental health prevention and early intervention programs by the California Community Colleges Student Mental Health Program Office.

Riverside has the most homeless people in all of Riverside County, according to a survey provided by the city’s Homeless Street Outreach Program.

The Legislative Analyst Office said that tuition has increased 67.4 percent since the 2008-2009 school year for the Universities of California.
