Jim Miyashiro, police chief of Riverside Community College District, said in an e-mail to the RCCD community that a female student was grabbed by an unknown male Nov. 3 approximately at 8 p.m. at Riverside City College’s Lot E (located near Lovekin Complex) while she was walking to her car.

Miyashiro said the student was able to escape the alleged attacker by kicking him in the groin and running to her car while he was on the ground.

Miyashiro said the male is described as a dark skinned male, late teens to early 20s, approximately 5′ 10,” between 170-180 pounds, wearing a gray beanie, dark colored sweatshirt, tan shorts and long socks that pulled up passed the knees.

The RCCD police said if anyone knows anything about the incident to call them at (951) 222-8171 and advises students to walk in groups at night and report any suspicious person or activity to the campus police.
