The Riverside City College football team followed their decisive season opening win with a 73-7 clobbering of Victor Valley College.
The Tigers scored four touchdowns in the first quarter, one being a 28-yard punt return for a touchdown by Eddie Lackey.
Sadale Foster, who was the conference player of the week last week, had an encore performance with two touchdown catches of 11 and 21-yards, to follow his three touchdowns in the season opener. He finished with five grabs for 43 yards.
Wide out Stevie Will also had two touchdown catches and Joshua Waller led the Tigers with 77-yards receiving and added a touchdown.
Dalton Livingston played only the first half after leading 49-0, finishing with 215-yards passing and tying a school record with 5 touchdown passes.
Backup quarterback Zach Adkins filled in nicely for Livingston and proved his worth as he was able to connect with Damian Robinson on a 60-yard touchdown pass which was his first passing touchdown of the year.
Adkins also rushed for 47-yards and E.J. Schexnayder added 73-yards as the Tigers totaled 192 rushing yards compared to Victor Valley’s 13 yards net rushing.
The 73 points scored is the third most in Riverside City College football history dating back to 1924.

The No. 8 ranked Tigers have yet to be tested by their competition in the first two games but will host the nation’s No. 2 ranked Mt. San Antonio College on Sept. 24.
“This is a good start for us,” Craft said. “We know things are going to get tougher.”
Tougher is an understatement, but Craft is familiar with Mt. San Antonio football where he coached and won the national championship in 2009 before taking the job as Riverside’s head coach.
The Mounties also defeated Victor Valley on Sept. 3, by a score of 51-21.
The key differences in the team’s game plans versus Victor Valley were the Tigers ran the ball twice as much as the Mounties gaining 218-yards on the ground where the Mounties only amassed 106-yards. The Mounties focused on spreading the ball through the air with 49 passing attempts and the Tigers passed only 28 times.
Another note to be added is that the Tigers starting team defense has yet to give up a touchdown in their first two games and the reserves have been stingy in conceding only 13 points in two games.
Although these statistics can be misleading, and team’s game plans change based on their opponent, this much is true: two top ten nationally ranked programs will collide at the Riverside gridiron in the battle for who is the better Southern California team on Sept. 24 in front of a standing room only crowd.
