“I am Number Four” is the story of John (Alex Pettyfer), a teenager from another planet who’s on the run from bounty hunters. He is living a normal life in the midwest with his caretaker Henri (Timothy Olyphant) when the bad guys track him down.

The film is based on the popular book series of the same name and also stars Dianna Agron and Kevin Durand. It comes out Feb. 18.

“Unknown,” which will be released Feb. 18, stars Liam Neeson as a man whose identity is robbed following a coma. Neeson has remade himself as an action star lately and this film fits right in with his recent releases. The cast includes Diane Kruger, January Jones and Aidan Quinn.

“Drive Angry” is the story of a man (Nicolas Cage) who breaks out of hell to save his kidnapped daughter. This film, which hits theaters Feb. 24, is also being released in 3-D and is a hard rated R, so it’s not for everyone, but no matter what you think of Cage, he’s never boring

“The Adjustment Bureau” is a drama starring Matt Damon about a man who discovers that mysterious forces are controlling his destiny. When he falls for Emily Blunt they must go on the run to save their relationship.

The film is based on a short story by Phillip K. Dick and co-stars John Slattery, Anthony Mackie and Terence Stamp and is going to be released March 4.

“Rango” stars Johnny Depp as a chameleon who protects an old west town full of interesting characters from bandits. This is the first animated feature from Industrial Light and Magic. It will be released on March 4 and has an all star voice cast, including Abigail Breslin, Bill Nighy, and Alfred Molina.

In “Battle: Los Angeles” the Earth is invaded by aliens and a Marine platoon must fight for their lives and the lives of a group of survivors while evacuating Los Angeles.

The movie, which comes out March 11, stars Aaron Eckhart and Michelle Rodriguez and has built considerable buzz following the debut of its trailer at Comic-Con 2010.

Local Entertainment

Intersect Dance Theatre features Riverside City College dance students and professional dancers blending contemporary ballet and modern dance at the Landis Performing Arts Center on Feb. 25 and 26 at 8 p.m.

“Legally Blonde” follows Elle Woods as she attends Harvard Law School hoping to reunite with her ex-boyfriend. Based on the popular film, the stage musical runs at the Fox Performing Arts Center March 18-20.

Wanda Sykes is one of the funniest comedians in Hollywood and she will be bringing her hilarious stand up show to the Fox Performing Arts Center on March 25. One of the best jazz vocalists in the world, Dianne Reeves is the only vocalist to win three consecutive Grammys in a vocal  category. Her astonishing voice will be on display at UC Riverside’s University Theatre on April 28 at 8 p.m.

Gaming

“Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds” is the latest fighting game in the popular franchise. This third entry features characters like Iron Man, Thor and Deadpool. The game will be available for the Playstation 3 and the XBOX 360 on Feb. 18.

The Nintendo 3DS is a new, advanced version of the popular handheld game controller. Using 3-D technology without special glasses, the 3DS gives users the ability to control the level of 3-D they see using a 3-D depth slider. The system is available in Cosmo Black or Aqua Blue and will be released on March 27 with a suggested retail price of $249.99.
