One of the most well-known frontrunners on the GOP campaign trail is Rudy Giuliani. The former mayor of New York City has successfully turned his experience into a solid candidacy, but critics of the candidate have accused Giuliani of using the events of 9/11 to further his campaign.

Candidate John McCain spoke against Giuliani’s tactics.

“There are always three things in a statement by (Giuliani); A noun, a verb, and 9/11,”

McCain said.

Another major point of debate for Giuliani has been the issue of illegal immigration. In earlier debates, Candidate Mitt Romney and Giuliani have crossed swords over the issue. Romney has accused Giuliani of trying to create a “sanctuary country,” in regards to Giuliani’s method of handling immigrants in New York City.

Giuliani fired back by calling Romney’s home a “sanctuary mansion” due to the undocumented workers that were found working in Romney’s home.

Romney has recently fired the undocumented workers.

For anyone with conservative views, Giuliani seems to fit like a glove on some issues, but even he has his liberal side. While Giuliani supports a troop surge and border defense, he also supports stem cell research and same-sex civil unions.
