Riverside Community College women’s water polo season was a success this year. They went 35-1 this season and brought home the championship. Riverside beat out Long Beach to win the championship on Nov. 19. “The girls did what they have been doing all year.

Class schedules about to get better for RCC students

With a reduction in available classroom space due to the remodeling of the A. G. Paul Quadrangle, and the constantly increasing number of students who come to RCC, the administration and department heads designed a new schedule, which includes Fridays as a full school day, to make it easier for students to take classes consecutively, and to increase the number of classes available.

Female students need to be extra watchful

You’re a female, and you have just left your night class at RCC.  Armed with mace in one hand and your keys in the other, you walk quickly to your car giving out a sigh of relief as soon as you get in. Unfortunately, many females can relate to this situation that attend a night class at RCC.

Freefall

For those of you that have conquered the impossible, there is still one more thing to accomplish before retiring your extreme moments in your life. Try jumping out of a plane at 13,000 feet, with nothing except a parachute strapped to your back. Perris Valley Skydiving is one of the few places, where you can experience the ride of your life.

Focus on fashion: The bra revolution

On Nov. 17 a revolution was started… a bra revolution to be exact. Oprah Winfrey decided to do a show focusing on correct bra fit.  This show was to focus on the Nordstrom’s standard of full customer service and how that service is applied to a standard bra fitting.

Training center offers purpose, future

No sniveling. These two little words engraved in bright red slightly hang on a sign office door. This sign may be a good indicator that the road to success at the Riverside Community College Ben Clark Training Center is not easy. RCC students who dream of becoming emergency medical technicians, paramedics, emergency medical technicians, firefighters and sheriff deputies all train at the center.

If you are looking for a classy dinner spot without the inflated prices, I have the perfect place for you. Ooka Japanese Restaurant is nestled in the center of the Riverside Plaza, right next to the movie theater. Its stylish in its interior design and delicious in its selection of exotic Japanese cuisine.

Game review: Star Wars: Battlefront II

Battlefront II is every Star Wars fan’s fantasy. Make a selection, pilot or Marine, and then race towards nostalgic starcraft. Will you choose the A-wing and move through enemy formations like a scalpel or jump inside the Y-wing and wail on the capital ships? And when you tire of flying around land inside your opponent’s hanger and wreak havoc from within.

RCC band rocked, surprised

RCC will rock you! Standing down on the sidelines, watching the drum major start the performance, your chest cavity is shaken by the two beats of large drums then the 180-member band claps. Then you realize that it is Queen, being played by one of the elite marching band in the country.
